Wildlife Walking Tours
Sharing the beauty of your property with a walking tour for guests is a great way to spend quality time in nature. We will point out plants of note and the birds, butterflies, odonates, insects, and any other creatures we notice along the way to your guests. We will answer their questions about what we see and hear and stop along the way for them to take photographs.
Family and Friends Reunions or casual get-togethers can be enhanced by a walking tour that lets you enjoy the outdoors together. We can walk slowly so everyone can keep up, from children who see nature with such wondering eyes to mature folks who haven't had time to stop and smell the mountain laurels.
Event Centers on properties with wild areas can offer our walking tours for their clients who have time over the course of their event to see the sights. This is a good activity for conferences to help participants stretch their legs between seminars, or wedding guests who have time before or after the ceremonies and would like to see more of the property.
Photographers often enjoy outings with opportunities to take photographs of natural areas. We can accommodate guests who want to stop frequently for photos and can point out photograph-worthy plants and wildlife, from tiny spiders hiding on leaves to majestic hawks flying overhead.
A Big Sit is an alternative to a walking tour that involves sitting in one place on the property and looking and listening for birds and other wildlife to appear. We can identify the birds and butterflies and teach your guests to identify the bird calls we hear.

Walking Tour Dates and Times
Tours can be held in the morning or afternoon, and any day of the year is good for a walking tour or Big Sit. Good weather days in any season are best, although for pre-scheduled events when the date cannot be altered to accommodate the weather, we will do our best to adjust the tour to the conditions.
We do not conduct walking tours in lightning.
